A fanlisting

This site is listed in the Fanlisting Network, a place that lists all the fans of many certain subjects. A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject. In other words, basically just a list of names of people who like a certain subject. This particular fanlisting is for the amazing Dynasty Warriors series, produced by KOEI.

Why a fanlisting for this game?

I played this game way back in 2001. I was hooked. I played it for 7 hours straight. I couldn't switch it off. It was so addictive. Then, I researched about the story. It turns out that it was based on a great slice of Chinese history and a novel called Romance of the three kingdoms and I got very interested in that. Over the years, I've become a MASSIVE fan of the series. I enjoy all the characters and the story. I don't think anything could make me hate the game.

This game is just so special to me. I hold it very close to my heart. So many memories. Shared with someone I no longer talk to, but they were great because this game is just truly fucking awesome. I'm glad to be running the general series fanlisting. I've had it since 2005 sometime. I applied when I was a HTML and graphical n00b and got it. A stroke of luck but I thank the person who approved me because this is by far one of my favourite series of all time. It's amazing. It truly is. The characters, the history, the music -- oh, it's love.

Why "Live by the Blade"?

I had so many title ideas. I chose this one, because the warriors in this game devoted their lives, in fighting a war. And well, their weapon was some kind of blade. Do you get it?

Random Things

The first character I ever played with was Sun Shang Xiang in Dynasty Warriors 2.

My favourite characters are Liu Bei, Ma Chao and Cao Pi.

This fanlisting is in a permenant home. I love this series far to much to even consider giving it up. Waiting or hoping for this fanlisting to close or stop updating? You've got a long wait, sunshine. I played this game before it was overly popular, too.

My favourite kingdom is Shu. I like what they stand for.

If there is any characters I can't really stand playing as, they are: Gan Ning (Hate his personality, but love his musou), Xu Zhu, Meng Huo, Dian Wei and Dong Zhou, Zhou Yu and Xiahou Yuan. Yes, you got that right, I like playing as the old geezer Huang Zhong because he can move like woah.
