The A.I. of David King
Obviously at some point of the game when you are controlling another character other than David King, you should play on the same Levels with him sometimes. David King funnily enough matches the character he is surposed to have.
In the game, David King is a lone soldier. You will very rarely see him in the game. At the start of any of the levels in Resident Evil Outbreak, you will see David King dashing around the first room you are in, he will also automatically equip the folding knife he already has.
He also gets pissed off really easily. If he is being attacked by a monster, and you're too late to help him. He will call you a son of a bitch.
Eventually when you venture further into the level, he will have disapeared off the face of the earth. He will be nowhere to be seen or heard. Eventually towards the end of any level, you will meet up with him again, he will rarely be on a caution health status, and will still be on the fine Status. In his invetory he will more than likely have no health items, a bent pipe and of course, the biggest weapon of that level (Example: in decisions, decisions, he will have the Assualt Rifle). He obviously enjoys doing things on his own, and knows how to look after himself. However, if you ask him for that certain big assed weapon he has, he will totally ignore your request and run across the room picking up any Bent pipes. Perhaps his life as a plumber has made him obsessed with pipes?Maybe . . .
Once in the scenario, Decisions, decisions, as the Univercity is triggered to blow. David is still nowhere to be seen. Sadly me and my other partner character got out, and I was hoping he would too. He was alive while I was waiting for him, perhaps he generally does not give a shit over any circumstance.
Conclusion to this. David King can be very stubborn, quiet, and obviously a lone soldier. Funnily enough, if you are playing Yoko he will do as you say. Maybe he has a soft spot for Yoko? Or it could jus well be that he is always usually her partner character. Good A.I. character to have around? Yes, and no. Yes, because he will fight, and no because he does his own little thing and takes all the weapons. I surpose anyone would in a situation like that though.
Attitude
Like his character, he will not say much in a level if you are lucky enough to get him to stay with you. He will only speak when you ask him something, or he needs help. Which is rarely. He will only stay with you if you keep nagging at him. Even in the beginning of Outbreak scene, he is sat at the bar not involving himself with anything, or anyone around him. Even when Cindy drops the glasses, he doesn't turn to look, infact, its Mark who actually Cares about that.
Just before you start to control David in the first level. There is a zombie at the window searching the bar. The other characters scream. But oh, not David, he will just stand there with a blank expression and just respond "Huh?!" (As if to say "What the fuck is that?" not "OMFG! We're all gonna die!")
In a lot of the cut scenes, David seems very snappy and/or pissed off about the whole situation. In the Hell Fire Scenario, there is a radio of the fire brigade on the floor, he can here static, and voices on the other end. He snaps at whoever is talking (More than likely the comrade of the deceased fireman), sharply asking him what he wanted. Later when you complete the Hell Fire Scenario, a Fireman tells him that he was lucky to get out alive. David very coolly replies "You Helped. . .". At the end of the Scenario Hell Fire He asks himself when this stupid game is going to end. This suggests that he sees it all as a game, or maybe even a little task that would eventually be finished with.
At the very end of the entire game, David has a dream on the helicopter. A nightmare where he is about to be bitten by a zombie. The Helicopter Pilot wakes him up, and asks him what was a matter. Again, David Obviously doesn't care. He just says, that it was a bad dream, he would forget. That, was directly aimed at the whole Raccoon Incident.
In conclusion. David King has a care free attitude when in trouble, he seems like he lives in the moment and forgets his past. Maybe this has something to do with him trying to forget about the violent past of his. Or it could just well be, he was born that way. We can also tell that he talks to people he doesn't know, in a very snappy manner.
